How it works

Four things happen.
One of them is a person.

No jargon, no architecture diagrams. Just what the system does between a phone ringing and food leaving the kitchen.

01

A call comes in

The outlet's existing number is forwarded. Nothing changes for the caller — they ring the same number on the same menu card they always have.

📞

It answers

Greets, and says plainly that it is an AI

👤

📝

Drafts

Items, quantities, address, total

The greeting says it is an AI. Callers are told, every time, before they say anything, and if the outlet turns that off, the system stops offering the features that depend on consent.

02

How it holds a conversation

Three things happen between the caller finishing a sentence and hearing a reply. They happen fast enough that it feels like a conversation rather than a machine.

What the caller says
What it understood

If it does not clearly hear something, it asks again rather than guessing, and it asks differently the second time. After three attempts it offers to put the caller through to a person instead of trying a fourth.

03

It sends itself, with a moment for you to review

The order is saved, shown on screen, and a ten-second countdown starts. If nobody touches it, it goes to the kitchen by itself. One tap holds it, edits it, or stops it entirely.

The order is saved before the countdown starts. If the printer is off, jammed or has changed IP, the order is not lost — staff reprint it from the board. The ten-second window is configurable, and can be set to zero so that every order needs a tap.

04

WhatsApp, the same way

Some people would rather type than talk. It is the same AI, the same menu, and the same approval step — the order simply arrives as a message instead of a call.

✋

Staff approve

Exactly as with a call. Then it prints, then the customer is told

Customers are never messaged out of the blue. A conversation starts because they wrote first, and anyone can stop it permanently by saying so once.

05

What it deliberately will not do

Worth knowing before you decide, rather than after.

Print without approval

Auto-approve exists and is off. If you turn it on, that is your decision made knowingly. It is not the default and we do not recommend starting there.

Invent an answer

If a caller asks something outside the menu, it says so warmly and brings a colleague in. It does not guess at a delivery time or a price.

Take payment on the call

Card details are never spoken to the AI. Payment links are separate, off by default, and go through a real gateway.

Record without telling you

Recording is off. It cannot be turned on unless callers are told they are speaking to an AI — the system refuses otherwise.
